Foundation Mission

Inspired by those before us, the mission of the non-profit 501(c)3 Ida Cason Callaway Foundation is to connect people and nature in a way that benefits both. Without using state or federal funding, the Foundation is dedicated to bringing joy and light into people’s lives through enrichment, recreation, and conservation.

Enrichment

We preserve Callaway Gardens for future generations by creating an understanding of the natural world today through exhibits, demonstrations, workshops, internships, lectures, field trips, special events, and in-school workshops.  

Recreation

We encourage an appreciation for Georgia’s natural world by fostering discovery and play in the great outdoors.

Conservation

By protecting Callaway Resort & Gardens’ historic woodlands and wildlife, we assure generations to come encounter the same wonder as generations before them.
