Due to the Mountain Creek Lake Restoration Project, the Boathouse and Boat, Kayak, and Canoe Rental operations will be temporarily closed. Callaway Outdoors and Guided Fishing Tours will still be available during this time.
Some of the best fishing in the Southeastern United States is found right here, amidst the incomparable beauty of Callaway Resort & Gardens. Our thirteen sparkling lakes are renowned for enormous bream, crappie, shellcrackers, and trophy sized bass, and several lakes are seasonally stocked with rainbow trout. And because our lakes are private, no fishing license is needed. If fishing is not your sport, enjoy some relaxing time on the water and spectacular views with a kayak or boat excursion.

Avid anglers and novices alike will relish the chance to take a guided trip on one of our 12 lakes that are otherwise off limits for fishing. Certified instructors lead the way on half- or full-day guided trips for largemouth bass, bream, and seasonal rainbow trout, dependent on the season. Our Team at Callaway Outdoors provides all the necessary equipment, and fly-fishing trips are done primarily on float tubes on our professionally managed lakes.
Please note that to maintain the integrity of our beautiful landscape, our guided trips are catch and release only. Float tubes and fly-fishing equipment are only for instruction and guided trips, and are not available for rental.
Private instruction is also available. All of our courses are taught by professional casting instructors with years of experience and an infectious passion for their pursuits.
For the maintenance and health of our lakes, for the foreseeable future, Bass and Carp will be catch and release only as we work to develop a trophy fishing program at Callaway. Bream limit is fifteen (15) per boat. Crappie limit is thirty (30) per boat.
Shore (bank) fishing is only allowed at Mountain Creek Lake under supervision of Callaway Outdoors Pro Shop. No other bank fishing is allowed at Callaway Resort & Gardens to protect the nature of the Gardens and health of the lakes. Private boats, float tubes, and the use of bait fish is strictly prohibited.
