Policies The following rules must be observed to insure the safety of each shooter as well as Callaway Gardens' personnel. Protective shooting glasses and ear protection should be worn at all times. Shooter should remember that hearing loss due to noise damage is permanent. The largest shot size permitted is #7 1/2. While waiting your turn to shoot, be certain that your position is safely behind the shooter, clear of his field of vision.. The only time a shotgun will be loaded is when the shooter is actually in the stand preparing to shoot. At all other times, the gun will be unloaded and placed in a rack or unloaded and carried with the action open. Practice swings from behind any stand arc not allowed. At no time will a shooter load more than two shells in a shotgun. Before leaving the Stand, shooters will insure that the shotgun is unloaded and the action is open. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED ON PREMISES AT ANY TIME. Never handle another shooter's shotgun without permission. It is strictly forbidden to shoot any live bird or animal on any field or shooting course. Only authorized personnel allowed in trap and skeet houses. All shooters must be accompanied by a trapper unless otherwise specially permitted by authorized personnel.

Location: The Callaway Gardens Gun Club is on Highway 18, five miles west of Pine Mountain. Hours: 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Saturday Closed on Monday and Tuesday. Shooting during closed hours may be made by reservation with a minimum of $500 to open. Reservations: Required for sporting clays and suggested for all shooting disciplines by calling 706-663-5129.
