The celebration begins early and lasts into the night at our annual July 4th Surf & Sand Spectacular. We celebrate Independence Day with a day of pure fun. So pack a picnic and sunscreen, round up your friends and family, and head to Callaway Gardens for a spectacular fourth of July! 2009 schedule of events: July 4th | 7:00 a.m. | Gates open and the fun begins! | | 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. | Swimming at beautiful Robin Lake Beach | | 9:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. | Paddleboat rides | | 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. | Miniature golf, shuffleboard and table tennis -- challenge your friends to a friendly tournament! | | 10:00 a.m. - Dusk | Rock Climbing Wall and Spider Jump (fee charged) | | 10:00 a.m. - Dusk | Xcelerator, the world's largest inflatable water slide (fee charged) | | 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. | Iceberg Island, floating water playground with 14' iceberg, water totters, log roll, trampolines and more (fee charged). Last session begins at 7:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. - ticket sales for this session end at 7:15 p.m. | | 3:30 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. | Thrilling FSU Flying High Circus performances in the Circus Tent at Robin Lake Beach | | 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. | The fabulous Swingin' Medallions in concert on the beach, performing everyone's favorite oldies from decades past. | | 9:30 p.m. | Fireworks finale, a glorious patriotic show - the perfect ending to a perfect day! |

If you want a break from the beach, enjoy the many attractions inside Callaway Gardens such as the Cecil B. Butterfly Center and Mr. Cason's Vegetable Garden or take a stroll on a nature trail or a bike ride on the Discovery Bicycle Trail. Note: Activities and time are subject to change.
