Swimming either in a wonderful pool or dipping in Robin Lake is a great way to relax, exercise or spend quality time with your family and friends. Callaway Gardens offers a number of options including: Robin Lake Beach You may not expect to find a white sand beach in the middle of Georgia but that's exactly what you'll discover at Robin Lake Beach at Callaway Gardens. Open May 23 through August 10, 2008, Robin Lake has the world's largest, inland, man made, white sand beach stretching one mile around the 65-acre lake. The Beach is the hub of summer activity to include Iceberg Island*, a floating water playground as well as miniature golf, table tennis, shuffleboard, beach volleyball, miniature train rides and paddleboats. Don't miss the FSU "Flying High" Circus performances (seven times per week). And NEW this summer, the Xcelerator**, the world's biggest inflatable water slide measuring four stories high, is sure to add some excitement to your summer. Lifeguards are available May 23 through August 10, 2008. The Sand Bucket Gift Shop sells beach toys, towels, chairs, umbrellas, lotions and boys and girls swimwear. * Iceberg Island fee: $5 per person per hour. Last session begins at 5:00 p.m. Register within The Sand Bucket Gift Shop. **Xcelerator fee: $5 for two slides; $15 per person per hour; $25 per person per day; $100 per person per week. The Lodge and Spa (available to Lodge guests only) Tucked away amid lush landscaping, The Lodge and Spa offers a wonderful, outdoor heated pool (3 to 5 foot depth) featuring two whirlpool spas (spas recommended for guests 12 years of age and older). During the summer months, a full service cabana-style bar and grill features a flat screen television and a stacked stone fireplace. Mountain Creek Inn (available to Mountain Creek Inn guests only) The Mountain Creek Inn features Callaway's largest outdoor seasonal pool (3 to 8 foot depth) as well as a children's pool (1 foot depth). The Cottages (available to Cottages guests only) The Cottages at Callaway offers two connected pools, one indoor and one outdoor to make your vacation at Callaway Gardens a splash anytime of the year. The indoor heated pool (3 to 5 foot depth) is available year-around, the outdoor pool (3 to 8 foot depth) is open seasonally and is uniquely connected. Guests can enjoy the outdoor heated hot tub year-round. Lifeguards are on duty May 23 to August 10, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Villas (available to Villas guests only) The Villas offer a seasonally-opened outdoor pool (3 to 8 foot depth). Guests can enjoy the outdoor hot tub year-round.
Please note: Towels are provided at all accommodation pools. No lifeguards are available for The Lodge and Spa, Mountain Creek Inn and the Villas. Callaway Gardens does not offer life vests for rent or as an amenity. Water toys are acceptable as long as they are not used as a floatation device. Large floats are not encouraged due to size.
